This Ain't No Fairy-tale Ending

for both fans and performers of Star One's Remix.

The show that catapulted the careers of four unknown teenage (well, almost) actors, and stood out like a breath of freshness in stale idiot box land, is coming to an early end.

The American influence was a tad too wannabe, the roles stereotypical, the lingo laden with slang, the sets reeking Kuch Kuch Hota Hai candy floss, and styling outlandish, but we loved its freshness.

Raj Singh Arora, Karan Wahi, Shweta Gulati and Priya Wal retain their famous zest during rehearsals at Kamalistan Studios on a fading June evening.

But you only have to look closer to notice the despondency in their eyes. The weight of bidding goodbye to a successful show made Shweta especially quieter and Ranvir particularly edgy. His "Bozo!" did not come out with much force, and Priya didn't retaliate with her signature feline fury. This Remix will always be an original
