The actor has stepped into the theatre world now and is doing a musical comedy play. Her co-stars will be Aamir Dalvi, Prithvi Zutsi and a few more famed names from the theater world.
In the play, christened as KkkKiran, Shweta plays the role of a mannequin. It is the story of Kiran who becomes a mannequin by mistake and the play unfolds bit by bit how she turned in to one. It also deals with her past and how in the present she comes back to life.
Shweta said that she plays the mannequin of a shop in Nainital and is made to wear the best clothes. She is all charged up for her new role. The play is full of suspense, comedy and music and is directed by Mihir Bhuta (who scripted Chanakya and Aflatoon) and produced by Sanjay Bhatia.
The rehearsals for the play started on July 17 and will be staged on 6 August in Mumbai. The play will then travel to Aurangabad, Pune and Hyderabad in August itself.
Shweta always wanted to do theatre and someone from Rose Productions suggested her name to Sanjay. She is all excited about the play and says that Theatre is an exciting medium as there is a live audience, there are no re takes and everyone has to be well prepared for everything in advance.
Come September, and the pretty Shweta will be seen on television again. Till then, theatre and ad films will keep her smiling.

no the pic is from the play only...only thing d male lead was changed at the last minute for sum reason..d guy in the pic is Aamir Dalvi who was then replaced by Tarun Khanna.

even i donno how i forgot to mention that i had seen d play...sry neways shweta was awesum as usual...actually its been a long time so dont rmmba much...i donno y i dint go backstage to meet her...everytime i think of it...i feel like cursing myself...i was so stupid...but there is lil i can do...n yes i saw it at rangsharda...i only no how i planned d prog to suddenly come at night to bandra n my mama who stays here took me 4 d play n he was like r u mad...u took so much trouble to jus watch this play...n i was like ull never understand
